Monday Dec 19, 2022
Monday Dec 19, 2022
Episode: 00138
Release Date: December 19, 2022
Description: As we celebrate the holiday season, Jason talks with our very own Paige Keningale who puts a bow on the ACIA New Horizon podcast for 2022. Paige discusses the top moments of the podcast, the in’s and out’s of podcasting, and the future of the podcast. Paige talks about her Phd and the impact of soloing on the analyst profession. We have fun with some silly podcast enhancements since Paige does not have the face for radio and even nerd out on Lord of the Rings and Star Wars. Paige is a Phd Candidate for University of Surrey and the Community Coordinator for the ACIA in the United Kingdom.
CHALLENGE: There are Easter eggs in one of the tables of the Excel chapter that Jason wrote for the IACA textbook. First-person to email us at leapodcasts@gmail.com about what the Easter eggs are will receive a $20 gift card from us. Happy hunting!

ATWJE - Christian Pierce With A Christmas Story
Monday Dec 12, 2022
Monday Dec 12, 2022
Episode: 00137
Release Date: December 12, 2022
Description: Just in time for the holiday season! Christian Pierce joins us this week to talk about the 2020 Nashville Christmas Day Bombing including how they first got the threat, the investigative process, and how improvements have been made so it won’t happen again. In addition to all the other chaos that was happening in 2020, a bomb threat on domestic soil is nothing short of unsettling and terrifying, and during the holiday season nonetheless; but hopefully it is reassuring to our listeners that there are many capable people working around the clock behind the scenes – including you, analyst listener! – to keep us safe. Christian is a U.S. Army veteran, and discusses how his military career helped him transition to civilian intelligence work through a series of training and internship opportunities. He is currently an Intelligence Research Specialist for the Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives (ATF) at the Gun Crime Intelligence Center in Nashville, Tennessee.

Rich presents us with a couple of analyst badge stories this week, one involving a patrol workload assessment that improved workflow and promoted efficiency, and the other about the (caught and convicted) Fast Food Serial Killer, Paul Dennis Reid.
