Description: Jennifer Loper, one of the driving forces that gave us two amazing websites: the Arizona Association of Crime Analysts (AACA) and IACA! In this episode, Jennifer gives us a behind-the-scenes look at how each of these websites were developed, how they’re maintained, and their current functionalities for their members. Jennifer’s badge story involves pattern identification, one of the most important skills for an analyst, and how it led to the apprehension of a male subject who was targeting older women’s purses at grocery stores. Jennifer and Jason discuss the benefits of getting involved with professional associations, or at least being active, not just having that tick on your resume stating you’re in an association. Jennifer is currently a crime analyst with the Peoria (AZ) Police Department.
