Description: In this episode, Josie explains how her personal connections help her achieve her professional goals along with her thoughts on the IACA and FIAT crime analysis programs, both of which also help her become a well-rounded analyst. Josie’s badge story involves a college basketball shooting where she assisted in the investigation utilizing surveillance videos when she was still in recovery from a surgery. Josie gives tangible strategies and examples that her department implemented to create an efficient work environment, especially for analysts. Josie is an experienced athlete, and currently coaches high school softball on a volunteer basis while working as a full-time crime and intelligence analyst for the Salisbury (NC) Police Department.
