Bio
Keith Musson has extended experience in assisting law enforcement agencies to get the most out of their data and the best out of their software investment. Keith has also worked with a number of commercial clients to help uncover fraud; usually by consolidating data hidden in disparate systems.
Keith has been working with data analytics software since 2006. He previously worked at IBM, where he consulted on the i2 analysis suite to clients around the world. He now provides expertise on a number of different technologies, where he designs and implements data analytic solutions for client and partners in a number of sectors. Recently Keith has been incorporating Machine Learning and Big Data technology into solutions to complement more traditional analytical tools like i2.”

This week’s guest, Danielle Martell, is a retired supervising crime analyst for the Anaheim (CA) Police Department who is currently working as a management analyst for Deschutes (OR) County focusing on marijuana investigations. Danielle educates us on the types of crimes that have surfaced with the legalization of marijuana in Oregon as well as her role as an analyst assisting on these types of investigations. Danielle’s badge story relates to a robbery investigation she worked on while at Anaheim PD and how she was able to help identify the suspect after sifting through a myriad of mugshots and databases; pro-tip: include tattoo information in the subject descriptions, not just have photos. This episode contains information on how to be a speaker at one of the IACA conferences and how you can help decide what goes on the schedule next year! Danielle is currently a Management Analyst for Deschutes (OR) County, focusing on the effects of and criminal investigations related to marijuana legalization. Bio
Leigh Morgan-Jones – Head of Service Delivery - Staffordshire Police. Leigh has been enjoying her career at Staffordshire Police since 2003 following her role as an Analyst for West Midlands Police and is part of the Knowledge Hub Command Team specifically responsible for research, intelligence, performance and analysis force-wide.  Leigh leads several happy teams that deliver a consistent outstanding service for Local Policing, Investigative Services and Force strategic leaders as well as a Real Time Intelligence function within the Contact Services Department.
 
To complement her core role Leigh is the Chair of the NPCC Intelligence Portfolio sub-group- National Analyst Working Group that reports to the NPCC National Analysis Coordination Group. On occasion Leigh acts as a specialist advisor for national analysis projects and thrives at being at the forefront of a continually improving analysis community in UK Law Enforcement.
