Monday Dec 14, 2020
Episode 00033
Release Date: December 14, 2020
Description: In this episode, we explore topics that are not often discussed, but are important and valuable to our profession: perseverance, police culture, and gender politics (discrimination). Lori Frank’s story is one of perseverance in trying to get her dream job at the Fort Collins Police Department three times and what she did to ensure her products are being utilized. While the latter two may be more subtle and harder to notice, Lori gives examples of things to consider, and hopefully, her story encourages others to reevaluate their work culture and speak up against unjust treatments. As a crime analyst, Lori specialized in administrative analysis among other things, to help her agency be more efficient with their resource allocation and patrol schedule. This experience in addition to her years of training and networking lead her to her current job today. Lori is currently the Director of Research and Analysis with Corona Solutions.
